Default Tire Recommendation for South Florida

Hey guys, I'm looking at a 996 Coupe with the 18" hollow spokes. But the front tires are from '08 and the rears are '15 and all 4 need to be changed out.

Question is, what do you all recommend? I'm Florida which means the weather is warm, but ~2-3 months of the year there's a daily downpour that's pretty narly. I'm assuming looking at Michelin Pilots, but should I be looking at all-season (given the rain storms) or summer is good enough?

Summer only unless you need to get more mileage out of them. Continental DW is a good tire.

no concern with summer only for driving in the rain?

I second the Pilot Sport 4S. Totally transformed my car and the grip wet and dry is excellent.

They are quieter and smoother riding than previous versions of Pilots and various other manufactures I've tried. I use my car as a daily driver in Florida.

Depending on the sizes, I’m not savvy on the widths of Turbo twists, most people love their PS4s. I live in Miami and run PS2s year round.

It still rains in the summer so a quality summer tires are a solid choice. I've been very happy with PS4S. Surprisingly they increased my ride comfort over sharp bumps at low speeds around town.

I've been using Tirebuyer as they always seem to have a 10% off, either coupon or with id.me.

Looks like they have the pilot 4s for 1148 before tax. Plus there is a $70 rebate from Michelin until the 27th.

Assuming you are using 225/40 and 285/30

I forget the price breakdown but I think it was like $220 for the rears. I have the hollow spoke 18"s so I just went with the current size I have. 265 in the back and 225 in the front.

Yep that’s the exact price I got. Plus there’s tax and I think $5 fee for old tire disposal.

Yup, the 265 & 275 seem to be about $40 less than the popular 285.
Your car pic in your driveway looks like my neighbor hood...
