Default Clear headlight to “Fried Egg” DIY ??

Hey everyone, couldn’t find a post about this so I figured I’ll just ask. Has anyone with the clear 996 headlights tried to apply an Amber or Orange film to the blinkers/taillights without having to replace the entire units? I’m debating on buying some Amber colored film from Lamin-X as I’ve been wanting to have the “fried egg” look. Seeing the price for some amber light units would be more expensive than I’d want, specially to buy a whole set of head/tail lights. Figured this way might still look good if done right. And way cheaper haha. What are everyone’s thoughts on that idea?

I'd get a set of Amber lights all around. They will not get any cheaper so it's almost like putting your money into a limited resource like gold.
(albeit with much lower liquidity, of course)

There is likely to be plenty of guys who will trade you their fried egg lights for your clears. Thats the best option, especially if you can find a local and do the swap in person
