VAG 1924

I don't know anything about the VAG unit but I modified a $10.00 Ace Hardware garden sprayer to do what it seems like the VAG does.
I cut the tip/ mister part off and then used a heat gun to bend the plastic tube into an elbow at the end. It works great for diffs, transmissions and the transfer case on the Cayenne.

Not sure that will work for my Application. Not sure it would fit in the hole. Problem is I am doing at a friends house and hour and a half away. To drive, take car apart (Boxster) and not be able to get in hole would be a 1st world disaster.

I built one out of a bug sprayer like SoCal did for the Porsche Dealer I retired from except I used a steel brake line for the nozzle. I notched the brake line then bent it past the 90* position then soldered it up...( shaped it like the VAG one)... They are still using it...
It does have to be small on the end to fit in the hole, I had to cut mine down to fit at first..
The VAG one we had ( on the AUDI side) is a gravity feed but the open/close valve has big ports and flows pretty fast...so even with 20-30 psi the bug sprayer devise is a bit slower but all the Audi guys would come across the shop to borrow the one I built instead of using the VAG one.....

That one is perfect ( it wasn't available 2 decades ago).. Just needs a Schrader Valve on it also to pressurize with shop air , then it would be absolutely perfect with all the different nozzles..

Thanks PorscheTech. Could you provide any insight on removing the diagonal brackets and brace on a 986 Boxster to get At tiptronic tranny. I’m sure I can take apart, but does it go back together easy. Suggestions?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yes it comes apart really easily but sometimes the studs spread out a bit and makes going back together a little harder...The big flat plate #6 actually holds the left and right suspension together...If the studs don't line up I have just used a ratchet strap between both rear tires to pull them together enough for the studs to line up....Once bolted together it is quite sturdy...
Removing #1 #6 #7 is very quick and easy....Reinstalling usually goes without a hitch but sometimes the ratchet strap trick is necessary...
