Default 01 C2 Convertible Top Replacement

Took the hardtop off today and as I was closing the convertible top the plastic window snapped.

Any suggestions on the best place to buy a new one?
is it better to get the glass window? It looks a lot smaller and I’m wondering if people have had issues with it.

Thanks🍻

I had the same issue last year on my '99 996. I ended up going with a GAHH top with the glass window. The window is much smaller, but I think it looks much better than the plastic. It wasn't cheap, but the quality is good.

Thanks for the info.

I'm having a difficult time finding someone who installs convertible tops. Is there a directory or resource for this?
My buddy is an upholsterer who said we could do it, but it would take a weekend to complete.

Check with your Indy if you have a good one he may do it in house or have a recommendation. They see a lot of cabs.

You could also check with GAAH. Maybe they have recommended installers?

I called the Porsche dealer and asked them who they send all their old cars to. And then used that company. For fun, I did get a Porsche quote. It was 350% higher than what an upholstery shop charged me, which is about right.
