Default AOS vent line mystery.

As part of my “engine out service” for my C2 02 I’m planing to replace The AOS with all its components.
i ordered the parts ahead of time and this is what I got.

on the right side of the picture is part 996.107.147.59 which supposed to fit year model 02-05.
on the left, is the part I removed from the engine. It doesn’t have part number on it, but based on the PET it’s part 99610714755 which should fit year model 99- 01.
On top of that, the connection pice (top center) shows part number 996.107.247.52 which doesn’t even show on the PET. The part that comes up for 99-01 is 996.107.047.51

Can I assume, that the part was changed in mid year production, starting with the connection piece?
edit: cannot find part 996.107.247.52 anywhere new. Google search brings up only used parts.

Yes, you need the 99-01 hose and connector if your 2002 is before engine number ..M >> 663 09950....it is the "one bolt connector"..

The "two bolt connector" is used for after engine number M 663 09952>>>> ..... and the hose that fits it is now updated with the connector "made on"..

I am going through all this as I am building "updated UAOS hoses" that will be made from a "lifetime material"...and not thin plastic..

Thanks for clarifying.
I did see your post regarding the upgraded lines. Pretty cool.
I assume they will fit both UAOS and stock AOS as both use the same connection method?

Edit: also do you happen to know what’s the deal with the connection piece part number?

Yes, they will fit both ..

From what I know about part supersession I think the connector part has been superseded several times , Probably even before it went into actual production...It could also be a casting number ( injection molded) and not an actual part number ...but the 996-107-047-51 is the one you need..
