Replace crossover case vent tube or whole aos system?
What do you think? I was going to purchase the crossover tube as I suspect it’s the likely culprit and disassemble to inspect further.
it burns oil when running, or at least smells like it. Doesn’t smoke from the exhaust. Doesn’t drip oil.

If I were going to all the trouble to replace the crossover tube, I would replace the entire AOS system
Also, I would only consider the UAOS.
Lot of threads here to learn more about the UAOS.

Just replace the whole thing with a UAOS, and you will never regret it or worry about the issue. It is just peace of mind for a few hours' worth of work as well as a few bucks rather than servitude to the existing AOS.

I agree with everything said so far, if capable I would drop engine and trans and get a good visual on your leak and easier to do all of the work.

People above are smart, replace the hose and put a UAOS in when you're going through the trouble anyway.
