2022 996 track side meet and great schedule
So a bunch of us hit the track thoughout the season and many would like to start hitting the track or even try it out once. I figured i would put together a thread for everyone to see what dates and where some 996s will be. I would also put out there u am happy to serve as a pitt/padock anchor for the group to gather and help with track side repairs if possible for those that r nervous and dont wrench.
So far my schedule is as followed.
3/25 njmp lightning with Mo-e.
I do have a season pass with these guys. They r a good group to drive with, u get 6 sessions and have good instructors. Very focused on driving and good track behavior or u r going home. if u want to try an event i can get a refferal credit so use my name in the registration form.....please .
https://moehpde.com/home
4/4 njmp thunderbolt with Mo-E
not gonna post any more Mo-E dates but ill be at most of them. See their web site
4/16 Thompson Motor Speedway
5/13-15 Watkins Glen with Potomac pca
6/15-15 Watkins Glen with Metro pca (maybe)
7/29-31 Pitt Race with Aleghney pca
9/30-10/1 Njmp with Delaware pca
Im still trying to find a Summit Point Main date and possibly a Lime Rock event.
What to look for so dont be a stranger. Stop by and say hi.

This is a great idea.
Presently, like a lot of us my car is getting repairs and upgrades. This has been a bit of a problem with parts availability. I am waiting on backorder parts from Tarett, Porsche, Guard, Apex, and lots of others! I have a transmission being rebuilt that will be ready sometime between 4 and 24 weeks, depending on parts. That makes it hard to commit to dates.
So far I have only signed up with TNIA for Thompson Speedway on 4/19. I'd like to join DE Jeeper at Thompson on 4/16. This depends on having my car done, or at least usable.
I usually drive the black 996 Turbo car# 07 so come over if you see me there. I'm the tall gray haired guy with the Bruins hat.
Groups that I drive with:
SCDA is at scda1.com
Mass Tuning
Both are on motorsportreg.com for schedules.
Track Night In America is not on motorsportreg.com, you'd need to use their website tracknightinamerica.com. If you want to try out a track day for less than $150 they're highly recommended.

I'm with Aaron @theprf with regards to not being in a great spot to make firm commitments, This thread is a great idea though and I will certainly update when I get some clarity.
I'll be at Thompson on the 16th even if it's just to hang out. Really looking forward to getting back to Lime Rock, I have unfinished business there.
Aaron and me, come and say hi if any of the folks reading see us.

I really like Palmer, it's one of the most difficult tracks I know of. I would rather run my VW there. I may not run my VW on the track this year because of external influences such as not having a daily driver car otherwise... we'll see. I have run the 996 there with Mass Tuning last year and it was a good time.
I'm planning Lime Rock on either June 8th or 9th with TNIA and July 5th with SCDA. I'm also planning NHMS on August 4th with TNIA.

I'll be at all of the Riesentoter events: https://www.rtr-pca.org/index.php/me...ation-schedule
Kinda need to be since I am the safety chair.
Usually at least 6 996s in the instructor groups, and at least 20 overall.

I am hoping to do three tracks this year.
Most likely Zone 1 PCA Watkins Glen
Hopefully June event at Lime Rock
I would like try a TNIA event at Pocono.
I drive to the track, so will be just doing Northeast

I added Mass Tuning on 4/16 to my calendar. So far its:
Thompson Speedway on 4/16 with Mass Tuning
Thompson Speedway 4/19 with TNIA
Thompson Speedway 5/5 with TNIA
Planned: 6/8 or 6/9 or both at Lime Rock Park with TNIA. Any other Lime Rockers let's coordinate this date.
