Great to see the interesting ideas in this thread - potentially a big market for hot rod type products for the 996 line.

Would love to see a lightweight door panel - like your RS panels
https://www.rennline.com/911-Door-Pa...-NF-911-06-00/

but for the 996
here's a couple examples found online:

As for me, I'd like to see some more options for front lips/splitters for regular and turbo style bumpers. ABS plastic or polyurethane is good with me! I don't want to be replacing a $800 front lip!
Agreed!

My response:
1.) Carbon fiber or aluminum constructed radiator expansion tank to finally end the infamous leaking plastic spit...., spit...... tank..... or design one that is relocated to the front near the radiators or perhaps making the center radiator smaller and having expansion tank near it so that could be removed and installed without all the excitement of replacing the current nightmare.

2.) Silicone hose kits, one for the engine area and the other for the radiators, and an auxiliary kit for the center radiator and offer them in colors besides black.

3.) Carpet kits that offer factory and other colors, a lightweight carpet kit, and quality adhesives.

4.) Replacement frunk and engine lid levers made of aluminum to replace those easily scratched and destroyed levers of the early 996's

5.) Auxillary oil cooler or a more efficient cooler considering that the current versions are of the twenty-year engineering concept

Agree with all. Heck, all of us are generally looking for a way to update the interior so anything you can produce would be helpful.

Doors, center console, lower console, instruments.

Another thought, but I don't have the skills to make a design recommendation is to think about the 2016 911 R, which did an interesting thing with the engine lid, they made the center piece black. It actually looked very cool. Consider a carbon fiber piece for the 996 that can replace the center on our decklid. Haven't seen a computer driven mock-up on a 996, so dont know how it would look, but it looks good on the 911 R. It may be a nice compliment to other carbon fiber parts you sell now for the exterior and may be producing in the future.

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Would love to get a nice upgraded carpet replacement set for the front trunk in different options like what is offered for the air cooled 911 line.

I have another idea not carbon fiber or it could be be a coolant overflow tank in carbon or aluminum would great more permanent solution for a weak aftermarket product

Yes!
For both 996.1 and 996.2.

My console delete has a built-in phone mount: I tuck the bottom edge of my phone into the gap at the front edge of the plastic trapezoid trim piece. Then lean the phone against the carpeted face of the delete panel.
iPhone 6S has stayed put through inappropriate street maneuvers; turn it 'upside down' if you need to charge as you go-- the plug practically works as a pin to the carpet. Best of all, there's not a trace of the mount unless you're using it!

I think we are both on the same page here.....something better than the current plastic coolant expansion tank or design one that is relocated to the front near the radiators... perhaps having the expansion tank accessed through the front bumper area and also design a smaller front radiator to work in concert. At least it could be removed and installed by removing the front bumper and would open up the area around the rather warm engine.
