GT3 seats are out of the equation. If she is under 5-2, pretty good chance she won't be able to see over the dash nor reach the instruments. Get one with electric adjustable seats. Had to build cushions for my wife and daughter when I put in GT3 seats.
Who doesn't want a Boxster? Just an all around fun car.
Momentum starting to build. We are going to look at one over in CT Monday or Tuesday. She can sit behind the wheel on our 996 and see ok but the clutch would be a bridge too far. She needs automatic. I just hope I'm not letting myself into more IMSB anxiety....

Same issues with the engine as ours. But same solutions as well. You can get Boxsters for a damn good price.
Same here. My wife is 5-1 and was able to adjust the Oem seat and steering wheel in the 996 to reach the pedals and see over the dash to drive the car just fine. But not with the GT3 seats. Don't see why the Booster would be any different.
The snow ball has started rolling down the hill.
I have about 5 good candidates within about 150 miles of my chair. Tomorrow we go look at the first candidate....
The guys over in the Boxster blog are telling me stay newer than 2009 and I don't need to have anxiety rushes about IMSB and other ugly happenings....

I would focus on the 987.1 base. My understanding is those M97.20 with the larger bearing and the smaller displacement had very few issues. If you find a .2 you like definitely go for it.

You know the routine, borescope, PPI, service records.

I have to agree with both of these statements. Especially a thorough PPI. 987s seem to be better than 986s, but there are a lot of turds out there. I think because it was hard for people to justify sinking more into maintenance than they paid for the car. That being said don't let it scare you off, there are plenty of good Boxsters out there at a good value. Hopefully, one the 5 works out and your wife enjoys her new ride!

So I'm looking at 2009 and later. A couple are S's. Doesn't that ensure I have the 97.02?
