Please update anytime you see fit and comment etc.. I know BAT keeps track of this data as well but we can chat about the cars here, track their history etc...

seems like an awful lot of extra work compared to just linking to their live graph?

Link that here. If we can start conversations off of it, maybe that's best

Touche, thank that other guy for that one, him and his 20 guys with sets of 9" will remain nameless. LAST TIME I trust that guy. I'll do my own research from here out.

Anyway since you care, you will probably want to know, I sold my 7.5 and 9" to a Boxster guy and went ahead and bought a set of 8" and 10" and had them refinished. In polished black with a silver lip.

As for your wheels, I still see you haven't sold your set of hollows and now you're selling a very nice 2002 996.2 and a bunch of other 911 items. Good luck, please don't leave the 911 community, we need more people like you.

Best advice ever...a quick look at Porsche's Tequipment Katalog would have quickly sorted the hollow spoke wheel size drama!

And I posted the parts catalog reference on that thread and the BS continued. Lot’s of BS lately on the 996 forum.

So which front is correct for the #408 setup for the early builds since technically the catalog overlaps dates for the early builds.

7.5 is 993 362 134 05 is 1998 to 2001

8 is 993 362 136 00 is 1994-1998

I know my 1999 and 2001 came with 7.5" fronts.

Early builds are so very special that I would not guess about that.

And frankly, I could care less.

My research is over and I've concluded they come with 7.5" fronts.

Not sure what your selling is a factory setup but usually bigger is always better anyhow.

I haven't concluded that 8" fronts were only available on 996 GT3's but I'm close to confirming that.

Your setup is better anyhow imo

I agree with your assessment, during the same period of time the Sport Classic I & II as well as the Sport Design wheels all had similar overlaps, but I believe 8" fronts were destined for 993's and 7.5" fronts were destined for Boxsters/996's. I base this on looking at the model designations listed for 8" as there were no Carrera 4 or Turbo 996's built during the 1998 MY. Considering these cars were built on the same assembly line in 1998, accidently mixing fronts between cars could have been a possibility.
