Free Roof Rack

Free Roof Rack
Cleaning out my garage, found my old roof rack off my 996. The previous owner gave it to me, never attempted to install it. I think I have all the parts, but not sure.
I’m in the San Fernando Valley (Los Angeles), willing to give it for free to a fellow Rennlister.
First to PM me gets it.

My PMs blew up, Couple qualifiers
1) Must be a Rennlist member. I want to pay this forward to those who support the site.
2) Must be local, I'm not shipping
3) Would like to meet up later today, want to make room, I don't have time after today.
Thanks.

Generous offer. Looks like I'm out. No worries, thanks Agent. You local Cali guys are lucky, us guys in the boonies have to fight for scraps. Best of luck for all in this New Year.

Very Generous of you. Great people on this forum. Last time I'd checked, it was nearly $500 at the dealer for this set up. Can you assemble the kit yourself for less than the dealer (short answer, "no.") Apparently there is already a thread here on RL for this: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...estions-2.html
The parts seem to be Thule kit. Although this dealer (Car-RoofRacks.co.uk) uses the Thule 753 Foot Pack in their kit (260 British Pounds plus VAT & Shipping), The RennLister found that if the same four feet (foots?) are used, the rack will be upturned. So he recommends the use of the 751 XT Foot Packs (only sold in packs of four for 90 British Pounds). A few months ago I'd seen these on Amazon (US site) but no longer available. The UK dealer has them. So you'll have to do the buddy system:
2 x Thule 753 feet 110 british pounds each 4 pack
2 x Thule 751 XT feet 90 british pounds each 4 pack
1 x Thule 3100 fitting fit (specifically for the 996/997) 45 british pounds (need two kits)
WingBar Evo 108 british pounds (need two kits) 2 bars
So two complete (& level) 996/997 kits would be %(pretent % is the British Pound symbol) %110 + %90 + %90+ %420 = %710 + shipping ...roughly about $900 for two kits, if you get all the right pieces.....and have a buddy.
