Default Recommendations to get a cup decklid

Hey all,

Looking for recommendations on where to buy a cup decklid for my 03 carrera. Ideally one for a street car with fittings for fan, etc as its a dual purpose street track car. Haven't had any luck contacting mashaw or getty and gt-racing seems only website but a bit pricier than the rest. Setup would be decklid + demonspeed uprights + 55in cup wing. If anyone is selling a used one I be open to that too!

You just names the 3 best places to get one for the street or track.

Buy a crashed cup car with a good wing / decklid and part the rest out An actual cup deck lid is not going to have any provisions for a fan, it has giant vents feeding air direct to the engine. You can see them in the picture below. No room for fan.

If I had the space, definitely would have gone this route but garage space in SF is a rare commodity.

Wanted to follow up here for future reference for people looking to get parts:

I ended up getting the decklid/wing from GT-Racing as they were the most responsive to my inquiries. Part came in a bit delayed, supply chain in a mess everywhere, but overall was responsive to know when it was getting shipped. Received decklid and overall looked in good shape, I still need to sand down the fiberglass before installation. Fitment was really good for the decklid and didn't require any adjustments. Parts were shipped from Socal. I will update again once I finish installation.

Only issue is that the holes drilled into the fiberglass for the wingstands are misaligned. While the supplied GT3 wing stands align properly and work, when I lined up higher stands from Demonspeed, the passenger side wingstand only aligned with 2 of the 3 mounting points. Both higher stands are drilled symmetrically and while examining the GT3 stands you can see the holes are not symmetrical but instead match the placement on the decklid, indicating they were drilled to match. The wing mounted on the higher stands is level, to confirm that it is a misalignment of that one mounting pt.I reached back out to GT Racing about this but have not heard back.

If you are looking to get the decklid and use the supplied stands and wing, it will work for you application. However, if you want to use a different stands not supplied you will likely need to fabricate to get them to work. I will be drilling into the wing stands to adjust for the placement.

Does GT-Auto have a website? I tried to google the name and didn't get much. Thanks in advanced.

Thanks for taking the time to come back and provide feedback. It seems a lot of the information provided on the forum is out of date and it's good to know that GT-Racing is the most reliable supplier in 2022!

Edited my post to reflect information below!

I may have to go with GT too as both MaShaw and Getty r mia in any responce to emails and phone calls. Unfotunatly GT is about $500 more than MaShaw for what looks like the same part.

The part was shipped from Socal so it makes me wonder if the part is dropshipped since Mashaw and Getty are both down there and GT is in Colorado

I have also tried multiple times to get in touch with them, no luck. I will take a look at GT-Racing, thanks.

Getty finally returned my e-mail today. Maybe they saw this thread? Anyways keep bugging them. Mashaw is still mia?

Edit: They got back to me again and it ooks like there leed time is about a week and shipping is resonable from CA. I dont really like spending $350 more then the Mashaw unit but since they have had zero customer service to this point im gonna order from Getty. They have also requested that i send them my uprights so they can make sure they put the mounts in the correct locations. I guess thats why they r a few bucks more?

Probably a good call to send in the uprights so you don't have to modify your uprights later like I did to fit the decklid. Although I would expect a standard positioning for uprights
