Which will cause you more trouble than it will save you in lots of cases related to these engines. No information, and mechanical inclination is better than the wrong information that has been "parroted" over and over again by those with little to no direct experience.

Yogi - check out the "Porsche 996, 997, 986 and 987 engine builders" Facebook group. It's a private group you need to be admitted to but it's full of knowledgeable people that have completed successful engine work and are sharing lots of good info. It's a great resource that you should find useful as you work on the pulled motor.
