996 3.4 fuel rail needed
Hi , I am new to this forum, I am rebuilding a 996 3.4 c2 1998 , I have the engine out replacing the whole steel breaking system with Kunifer copper piping, And I have a fuel leak in the offside fuel rail. so I am looking at getting a good secondhand pair of rails with the pipes on as they are bonded to the rail . can anyone help please , They are not easy to find.

I have a fuel rail from my blown 2000 motor it has the integrate ac compressor fuel cooler. If this will work im sure we can make a deal. It would ship from 19810. I also have mk2 injectors that were modified for an mk1 with less them 500 miles on them if interested.

Offside is the opposite of nearside (=kerb side) as used in British English and since they drive on the left, the kerb is on the left side. As such offside is the RHS.
I.e. bank 2 for you.
He meant Cunifer, an alloy of Copper (Cu), Nickel (Ni) and Iron (Fe, Cu-Ni-Fe'r get it?) used for corrosion-resistant (or even free?) brake lines.
A popular replacement in the UK for steel brake lines that corrode quicker in the UK than anywhere else in the world as the roads are sprinkled with a salt in winter time that transforms into (or is mixed with) hydrochloric acid to fight ice and snow on the road...
@Paul: to my knowledge the pipes are brazed to the rails, a leak there could be repaired by redoing the braze. Even a pinhole leak in the rail itself could be brazed to seal it, I'd think?

Thanks Hardtailer for explaining all of that, I am new at this so I should have explained it better, But you are spot on with your translation.
The hoses 2 off them are rubber and are bonded on to each rail, Why they did not use a braided screw on hose I do not understand. I wanted to just buy one and change it over , but I might now have to get it braised or something like that, The problem is it is just so rusty.
Thanks for the reply

Up until recently it wasn't the case in Germany for instance.
