I installed the PCCM+ myself in my 2001 Turbo. The car already had a different aftermarket radio in it but the trim surrounding the radio needed a bit of modifying so the PCCM+ could slide in properly. Had a few issues here and there but everything is working well now.

My last real issue is there isn't anything holding it in the car. So on acceleration it pretty much just falls out of its slot into the gear shifter. Looking at guides for 2002+ cars it seems like there is a retaining bracket that helps hold it in but I don't see any such bracket for the 2001 and earlier cars. Even the official instructions only mention a new front support frame but it doesn't appear to have any hardware that would actually hold the radio into the car.

This place also sells a 2 DIN conversion kit but it just has the support frame and looking at that picture again not seeing anything that would hold the radio in.

Has anyone done this install on a 2001 or older car and how did you get the dang thing to actually stay in? Very much appreciate any help!

I realized I did not follow step 5.3 in the instructions which is why I have this issue. Now I just need to figure out how to modify my current front support frame so it fits properly.

Unfortunately that's a 2002 so it has different brackets and frames where the PCCM+ goes
