Default 2001 C4 vs C2 Price Difference

Looking at a 911 in Hollywood FL that is listed as an AWD, but actually appears to be RWD; not a Carrera 4. All things considered, how much price difference should there be between a 4 or a 2 wd.

A RWD would typically be priced higher. You've inspected the car and there is not a front differential?

I have not. I am in Tampa and have yet to make time to travel. It's at an auto nation dealer. Dealer thus far has only told me what is on the ad paperwork that she has access to.

C4's came with silver brake calipers. I am not sure if C2's came with black or red as I don't own one.

It's possible that the owner, or one of the previous ones, removed the front diff and converted it to RWD. It's been done before and can be reversed easily if the parts are still there.

I'm shocked RWD is more expensive than AWD. I would think the same if anything.

My thoughts exactly. But I guess the main thing people want is the raw 911 experience which would be RWD. However, not that many C4's , 6MT in good shape pop up for sale. Which I figure would increase the value but really not sure.

Same reason used coupes are more expensive than cabs.

23k miles, comes with the matching hard top, desirable color, someone will lift that offer quickly in this market.

996 "words to live by" :

If you don't need AWD, get 2WD.
If you don't need/really want a convertible, get a coupe.
If you don't need an automatic, get a 6-speed.

All three of the above options make a very significant difference in weight and driving feel.

Is def a C2 per the vin. Has anyone driven a cab with the hardtop on who can compare it to a coupe? Just curious how they differ in feel.
