Default Too many steering wheel choices

I want a different steering wheel because I just don't like the idea of an airbag blowing up in my face. Yes I know it could save my life but here's a far better chance it just takes out more of my hearing. I see the Momos and some others. I'm looking for comments or suggestions or stuff I haven't thought about. I am also looking to sell my black 3 spoke and airbag

The aftermarket steering wheels always look better than anything with an airbag. I'm leaving an airbag in place because my daughters will likely drive this in the near future. I'll be on the hunt for a good used black manual three spoke to do one of those Mercedes based tiptronic wheel mounted paddle shifter conversions.

I haven't been able to pin it down but I wanted a CZP thick steering wheel... but have read the turbo steering wheel is thick as well? Anyway that's for factory airbag steering wheels. Check these aftermarket ones out:

-Nardi
-Personal
-Renown

Renown is sold by BFI and Nardi makes wheels for Personal, all fantastic wheels you don't see as much as Momo.

The Nardi and Personal wheels are great, I have a Personal Fittipaldi I reupholstered for my miata, a Nardi Kallista, and an Re-Amemiya d-cut wheel all in the basement at the moment. It’s hard to go wrong with a Momo Prototipo in a 911 though!

I default to OMP - like the feel and they look great.

Personal wheels are pretty rad too, I've never run one though.

Turbo steering wheels are the same as regular 996's unless you find the extra thick steering wheel option like you said. What did Clarkson call it? "Something from the Ron Jeremy collection" or so?

I just sold a Momo Mod 07 and it’s a really nice looking wheel. I didn’t keep it because I decided to rewrap my current steering wheel. I highly recommend the Momo wheel if you’re looking to lose the airbag.

I’m VERY happy with my MOMO Prototipo.

MOMO or bust. I don’t know, ever since I was a kid, I just have always like the brand next to Porsche. I ended up buying a MOMO Design titanium watch when I was in Italy back in 2000. First major purchase after I landed my first real job.

That's the nicest looking one I've seen. I don't track my car but yours I can see going perfectly in a dd, just match the leather to the interior and it's a natural fit. Love it!

Actually I found iron eBay.
It’s a genuine Porsche/MOMO horn button.
You can get them from Sierra Madre.

once you get a momo hub you can have a collection of wheels - change them on a whim. 5 minutes, keep the allen key on your keychain.

I have a martini wheel (by momo) Not currently in my 996 but it certainly could be. A little more modern looking than the prototipo (which I would absolutely go for in an older 911)

Personally I don't take the airbags out of cars that came with them, but it's a preference only.

Interesting that you have the early interior in a '93 Corrado. Not many were made that way. All the 93's I've had (six) have the late interior. If you don't mind what's the build date of your C?
BTW that's a neat period wheel - I like it much better than the ROW Corrado wheel.
