Has anyone put any RSS suspension parts on their 996? I love there motor mounts and although I'm not experiencing any issues, my car is a 2001, and appears to have the original lower arms, drop links, tie rods etc and it might be a great weekend project for me. Thanks

The po put rss dogbones in the rear of my car. I have no complaints. Kinda hard to mess up an aluminum link and 2 hiem joints so not sure im a good data point.

I have their motor mounts and adjustable rear toe arms on my car. I also have the front bump steer kit (adjustable front outer tie rods) but haven’t gotten them installed yet. I leapfrogged that installation for Eibach sway bars but I’m going to get them on pretty soon. I’ve been very happy with their parts so far.

I just bought a front and rear kit but the shop that will be setting up the car said "do not use the RSS bump / toe links. They will send your bump steer in the wrong direction. I would recommend ERP or Tarrett front & rear bump links." I have not followed up to find out why, but as soon as I do I will add context.

Thanks for the info, I've heard good things about RSS lower Control arms, so I'm getting them, then buy the rest from Tarett Engineering. I plan on buying the Eibach sway bars and need a good toe link to work with them. Thanks again and if you get any more info, please pass it on.

I don’t know who your shop is but I’m calling BS on that advice. I’ve never found a single ill word of RSS anywhere and I’ve done my research. ERP and Tarett are excellent companies also, no doubt about it but saying RSS components “will send your bump steer in the wrong direction” is almost laughable.

Gmg racing makes a nice bump steer tie rod kit and links too. The po installed some of their parts too and they r holding up fine.

GMG doesn’t support the 996 platform anymore. I don’t think they’re currently making anything for the 996.

their 997 kit looks identicle to what i have. Maybe its different but i doubt it since the factory part numbers r the same through 997's.

I just picked up a set of their sway bars via Pelican so I guess they have some stock left.

You’re lucky. I scoured the internet for a set of 996 turbo sway bars for my C4 but they’re nowhere to be found. I reached out to GMG and they told me they discontinued the 996 bars. I even put a WTB ad here for a set but had no luck. Bought a set of Eibach instead.
