Default Starting issues

Hey there, I have an ‘05 996 C4S. Been having issues with starting the car. Just had it in the shop and replaced the fuel pump, fuel sensor, crankshaft sensor, coolant sensor, starter motor and airflow sensor. But I’m still having trouble getting it started. It cranks no problem now but it seems like the engine is starved for either fuel or air on a hot start. As soon as I give the throttle a little tap it starts up. Would the set up have changed while installing the new crankshaft sensor? Any ideas on what is could be causing this?

[QUOTE=mffarrell;16997914]What is the fuel pressure?[

It wasn’t holding pressure before I replaced the pump. After it was holding at 40psi. Haven’t been able to check it today.

When the fuel pump was replaced were the fuel lines inside the tank also replaced?

If you give the throttle a little tap and it starts, here is what I would do. Pull the negative lead on the battery for 30 minutes to reset the DME/ECU to base values. Then connect the negative lead and do an e-gas calibration. Do not touch the accelerator during this process. Turn ignition key to ON (not start), wait for 60 seconds, then OFF. You should hear some whirring and clicking noise from the engine while it calibrates the throttle. Then try to start it up.

Ignoring all of the work you described, my car had this symptom when the fuel tank filler vent was defective.
