Didn’t have enough to do on my 2002 C4S, so while exiting a gravel parking lot and avoiding 2 female joggers, my left rear tire hit a low spot, allowing the driver side rocker panel to scrape the pavement. Didn’t think it was too bad, until I pulled over to check and found this:
There are screws at the ends, and along the inside bottom. There are tabs inserted into the body panel along the top outside. Once the screws are out, you can fold it down, and pop them out. The tabs go into little plastic sleeves that may break or be lost. I'm not sure the part number on those. What a mess, who can work like this? (In the middle of many projects. Looks better now, I promise.) That was the only picture I had showing both the screw holes and the clips down the length. Bottom is new one. Top from other side was pretty bad, but I repaired with epoxy and painted. Almost as good as new from the outside. Before and after. One on left was a little worse, so it was replaced. On right is my repaired one.
Good info! That does look like mine. Is the finish black plastic when new? So I shouldn’t have to paint the new one? I’m having trouble finding a schematic in order to find clips. Guess I’ll remove my damaged one to see condition of clips.

Thanks for the info!
Mine on a 2005 996 C4S are satin black just like the replacements.
They came as black plastic. Mine were black to start, so I didn't have to paint. Mine look a little glossy, as I put some 303 Protectant on before mounting.
