Default "Rubber insert nut?"

On either side of the plastic battery cover are two other plastic covers. They are secured by two fasteners. One is the plastic "screw" that
holds down the battery cover. The second is a torx-head machine screw that threads into a rubber and metal plug inserted into the body.
Does anyone know the part number for that rubber and metal plug?

The amplifier bracket appears to attach to the body with a similar rubber-metal plug. Are they the same part number?

Thanks.

Yes, many thanks for the quick response! (I must have looked at a dozen parts pages but didn't find the one you linked to! ;-))

I feel silly for asking this - but is there a proper way to install these? Thread in screw tightly until rubber deforms behind to hold well nut in place or ?

Thanks.

Been a long time since I changed mine but I think they just slip into a "fork" bracket. Then when you install the cover just run the screw down tight enough to hold the cover in place. Don't strong arm it.

Just tight enough to hold it in place, if you can wiggle it around, snug it up a little more.

SNUG is the key word here, by squishing the rubber, it deforms/expands, locking in place, too tight and you destroy the well nut.

You can get the same thing at good hardware stores and other sources.

So, a silly question I went to take out the screw, and it just spins the rubber nut and won't unscrew and come out. I'm tempted to just yank it out. What would you guys do?

Caution. Don’t over tighten when installing the new one. It will pull out the rubber. Ask me how I know.

Thanks for the link. Time to replace mine.

Push down on the plastic around the screw too lock the rubber nut down and unscrew.

Had the same thought, so I tried that earlier, but still no luck. It came out a little, but then wouldn't come out any further
