I've got a Mac and I'm having a trouble resizing my picture. Let's see how it goes.

Does your wife manage to fit on the front seat? The passenger seat seems to be all the way in front. And I can see that your car is a coupe, so more room than my Cab
Thanks for taking the time to post the pics.

That's kinda what I was saying. When I had the baby seat in the back my wife had to pull her seat all the way up and it was clearly not a situation that would be conducive to a long drive.

Although I recommended the Porsche child seat, its the front seat deactivator that's important for Porsche, not the seat. In the front seat of my Boxster S, I could strap the seat in rock solid. However, in the back seat of the new Targa, I am having a tough time getting it tight because of where the seat belt attaches, so it is a little loose and tends to turn on an angle towards the side of the car on which it is mounted. The base seems to be a little too big (see J.Seven's pics above - Porsche seat is similar to the Roundabout). Also, the angle of the seat back tends to make it hard to fully secure the seat.
A Porsche seat is not needed for the back. Any suggestions for other brands of seats that make a good fit would be appreciated.

Yup. It's a tight fit, but my wife finds enough room for day trips. I think that all booster seats that have their seat backs inclined will give you a tight fit. This won't change until you get to the next level of booster which have upright seat backs and utilize the seat belt to secure your child instead of the booster to the back seat. As your child grows he/she should have a little more leg room because their booster will allow them to sit upright instead of reclined.
I did try other seats, specifically a Graco booster seat in the back of my Porsche but it tended to get twisted sideways by the seat belt. The Graco has a unique clasp that grabs the seat belt and helps prevent this.
We bought the Britax from Baby's-R-Us for $200, which was more than 50% less than what the dealer wanted for the Porsche version.

I have an '02 targa.
Does anyone know if there any difference between the porsche and britax seats if you are only going to use them in the rear? Ie. will one allow the front passenger seat more room to be reclined/pushed back? In addition, is there some other brand that would leave more room while not comprimising on safety. Thanks very much in advance!
