Turn Signal/Indicator Problem
Then I found this photo....which shows a tab on the slip ring / Clockspring that moves when the steering wheel rotates and forces the little plastic tab that protrudes (the annoying one that’s suspended by two tiny springs) back into the unit cancelling the indicators.
I’m waiting for a new slip ring / Clockspring to arrive hoping that this tab is present.
Hopefully this information will help others trying to fix their non cancelling indicator problems.

So in summary if your indicators don’t cancel it could be the broken spring inside the unit like Jeff’s video or it could be a broken tab on your air bag slip ring / Clockspring so don’t just rush out and buy a new indicator unit for $300 it could be fixable.
