Cayenne Schmayenne
We use our '06 Cayenne to pull out bushes, vines, and tree trunks, besides hauling the dog and building supplies for the house. Sort of the family tractor.
We call it the Beast.
Got rear ended once by a Subaru. Poor guy lost his bumper, grill, and at least one headlight. I got out and literally rubbed the mark of the back of the Beast with my fingers.

Oh, Nick! So much deliciously wrong going on in your photo. Parked at the Merc dealer, between two handicapped spots, while you’re stealing a baby G-wagon? Props, sir!
Oh no! “Cayenne” suckered me right into this necro post! But, hey, at least I got to see the photo, which is quite funny. And I’m a sucker for Cayenne stories.

Hi all,
Not really sure how to post. Think I have made a couple, but not sure. Poked around here and briefly Googled how to start new thead with no real luck.
I have a 2015 Cayenne Turbo with 93K on it. Bought a year ago, with NO service records, but I did have a PPI done. Appears to be a pretty sound vehicle. Not a mechanic at all, but seeking experience/advise on transmission and transfer case fluid changes/services.
It's due an oil change. Been have an indy shop do them every 6k. I had a used 2012 Panamera Platinum and had a transmission service due (different shop) that was around $900 I think. Supposedly had to have a transmission "pan" and filter as the filter was integrated in to the pan. Don't know if that was legit or not, nor do I know anything about the Cayenne situation.
It has some minor? symptoms. When backing up an incline in reverse, slowly (because of 520 HP), after 2-3 seconds it will jerk noticeably. It's not a violent jerk, by any measure and there is no noise when this occurs. If I get a little running start/monentum on the flat part of the driveway, I don't have to give it extra throttle on the incline, and the "jerk" does not take place. Sometimes at the top of our driveway which is also an incline, I get the same jerk. I am feathering the throttle, literally giving it as little pedal as I can and sometimes it occurs...sometimes not. It seems to happen more in reverse.
I have never had it in 4-wheel drive/locking the differentials etc.. Have only touched the button by accident, if that.
I had seen another thread about with a lot of info on transmission and transfer case fluid services, but can't find it now. From what I remember there was no consensus, which I understand, but would love to hear from anyone who can provide any info/experience. Any general info about service/preventive maintenance would be greatly appreciated as I have no idea if a 70K (or whatever) service has been done. I have a manual, but I couldn't find much info there.
Thanks to everyone who can assist. Sorry, but I am not very savy with this forum software.

transfer case is common issue on the 958s. Yours may be under warranty. Try flushing and changing the TC fluid a couple times - it will be the easiest job you ever did on your Cayenne, there's a DIY thread in the Cayenne section.
