Default Warped rear rim and jacking

My right rear rim is a bit of sorts. Can I jack the car up from the front right jacking point enough that it will lift the right rear so I can put a jack stand under right rear jack point.

I get nervous leaving the car up on a jack for a couple days, I would rather a stand.

Push the jack under the car a little bit more and use the cross member to lift right rear. I can lift the front from the rear jack point, but if I remember correctly, because of the weight of the motor, lifting from the front jack point will not lift the rear. Choose a point carefully on the rear cross member of the right side. I've done that several times to put a jack stand under there. Or, alternatively, I have lifted the rear at the jack point and put the jack stand under the cross member where it meets the rear suspension. Good solid point.

Put a jack stand under the rear cross member, remove jack, then place another stand under the jacking point.

Why don't you just use the right rear jacking point to lift the right rear? Always makes me nervous to lift a wheel using the other wheel's jacking point, body getting torqued and what not. BTW, I'm sure you know this but I'll say it anyway, NEVER EVER get under the car with only a jack supporting the car's weight. A couple of weeks ago in a neighboring town a guy was killed when he got crushed due to his hydraulic jack failing with him under the car. Just sayin.

I don’t want to leave the car on just a jack for a few days. If it decides to drop, I’m screwed.

You can lift the entire rear end of the car from the center of the rear crossmember. Put your jack-stands under both rear jacking points. Just be careful when lowering onto the jack stands as the car will move forward (so you have to place the stands forward of where you may think) - just lower the car slowly and keep checking the position of the stands.

Figured I would blow up the spare, jack from jack stand and put spare on. Start putting air in spare, not sure if normal but started taking this strange shape. Abort that. Ugh.
Go to take amp out, can’t get wiring off.
Ill try the cross member. Thanks

That's the way I do it, but I have to drive the car onto 2 x 4s first because my jack isn't low enough. Just remember to put the 2 x 4s back in place under the tires before you lower the car again. One of these days I'm going to paint or tape a center line on the crossmember to make it easier to position the jack.

+1 on using your spare or just use a set of stands - all the points mentioned above will work.

The rear sub frame is a very solid place to hold the rear up from and has several flat sections where a stand can rest nicely.

I ended up using the spare and left the Porsche jack in place just Incase the 18 year old tire decides to go. Thanks everyone.
