Any use for used catalytic converters?
The cats in my car are shot. Bank 1 brick is completely loose and rattling, Bank 2 is loose and has moved, but isn't totally flopping around. Piping is in great shape, minus a few studs I had to saw off, but those could be pressed or drilled out and replaced with bolts. Is there any use for these, for any homebrew projects, or are they scrap? Feel free to PM me if anybody wants them. I know in most places it's illegal to sell used catalysts. So these aren't catalysts, they are just pipes
FYI this is at ~93,000 miles and 39 track days, in case anybody wants a reference point. First notice was a 0420 CEL, which use to come back every ~500 miles, now comes back every ~100 miles. Both internal bricks had moved enough that they were rubbing against the downstream O2 sensors.

you can probably get a few bucks selling them on FleaBay to a recycler.

I just changed mine for the same reason. At the shop i work at we have scrap metal guys always coming in to buy scrap and they LOVE cats. Ths next guy that showed up purchased both of my old broken up cats for 100.00 each.
