So I am guessing Nobody has a favorite pair of shoes they like to wear while driving. I have a pair of Pumas that are great. I will definitely check out the new balance.
As for the guy who wears work boots you must be one of those little guys because I can’t get my 13’s into the footwell.
As for racing shoes which is a whole other type of question you may have misunderstood here but it’s no surprise about the confusion with some of the guys on this forum. Bill I have no problem believing that you drive in bare feet. With the price of sneakers today you need to do what you need to do.
Those complaining about the fru-fru-ness of driving shoes have probably never tried them. I wear anything for normal driving -- which is 99.9% of the time, but for long leisure drives or rally's or group drives in 3-pedal cars, driving shoes can be awesome and feel great. Puma makes driving shoes that look normal and feel great. I bought a set of Puma Ferrari driving shoes at least 10 years ago -- they weren't expensive and they were all black except for a small yellow Ferrari badge. I thought the yellow badges looked a little obnoxious, so I put black duck tape of them, so they were solid black normal-looking shoes. They felt great for driving and the difference in control you have over the 3 pedals is kind of shocking the first time you try them. My son swiped them and has been using them for kart racing for several years. I haven't had time for pleasure drives, so I haven't replaced them, but if you drive for fun, driving shoes are well worth the investment. They also last forever because they don't get any wear in the car.

I haven't checked lately, but I think Puma still makes some normal looking shoes that are comfortable and great for driving. Even though I'm not picky about shoes for normal driving, running shoes are positively awful (at least for 3-pedal cars) because the cushion padding totally insulates you from any pedal feel -- and they are also too wide if you have a narrow pedal area (e.g. many Italian cars).

FYI, Hunziker shoes are now on sale at 50% off.

I enjoy driving in mine, grip on the pedals, narrower foot so don't accidentally drag on the wrong pedal. Plus, Steve McQueens raise your coolness factor almost to the level of the Porsche you drive.

Those do look comfy! In size 13?

Might be awkward when you get out to visit with the highway patrol officer

I could rock those Thomas the Train slippers but sadly they look they would only work on auto trans cars. I have the same problem with my Homer Simpson slippers.

I love Vans. Some might even say I have a Vans problem.

I'm a bit partial to Ferragamo parigis. It's a problem. I also have a ton of older (pre Nike) Cole Haans that are just as good. Sperry A/Os are also a favorite

Thanks for posting that pic. I realize my problem isn't as serious as I first thought.

I was going to reference Imelda in my post but I wasn't sure how many remembered her.

^^^That's cool that the OP has a shoe named after him. I've only had a beer named after me.

Love the mug!
