I have a pair of driving shoes I bought years ago but I never wear them because I find it so much easier to heel and toe with running shoes....driving shoes are just too narrow.

I have a pair of Piloti. They run small, and are narrow, but are nice for heel/toe with the extra "bump" on the outer side of sole. I like them for DE's and do use them on some road drives. I wouldn't go hiking in them, or call them a fashion statement, but fit for purpose.

Sorry guys, I have a pair of the Hunziker Steve M shoes in a size 13 and like them. Piloti is out of business, i understand.

Only wear them on road trips, not much around town, and they go great with my gray pearls.

All kidding aside, if I’m wearing a helmet I’ll put on my Sparco 12.5s. My big, clutzy feet have and will get caught under a pedal or in the foot box if I drive hard wearing anything with a lot of sole or funky tread. I found regular old deck shoes work pretty well for ‘spirited driving’ and are much more comfortable for all-day mucking about and think I’ll try them next time at the track. Plus, driving shoes lower my C sub d significantly.

I usually wear my steel toe work boots. One of things i love about this car is the foot well is large enough for an american male foot. I have to go to the store and buy a pair of sneakers for my first track day in march. I guess i could wear my fire rated shoes left over from my off road and desert racing days???

Looks like they may be back in business as an on-line business now after someone bought them out of bankruptcy. But other searches said they had gone under again. I guess someone needs to order a pair and see what happens.

If your tracking,, Wear real driving shoes,, its to save your feet in a fire,, Driving shoe leather is pre-shrunk, so in the heat of a fire they don't shrink and crush your feet, and they are Nomex lined so the liner doesn't catch fire..

I don't skimp on fire protection or gloves.. Worked corners and helped too many guys out of cars.
