Default Sideskirts installed

Hi Everyone, Well the weather up here in the north has let up a little bit and we have had a few days in a row above freezing! The heat wave has inspired me to go ahead and get the sideskirts installed. I am pleased with the new look. I have also upgraded the car w/PSE, Fabspeed's cold air kit, and K&N filter. The new sound is just amazing. The car was very quiet before and now....all I can say is AMAZING! The best part was the ear to ear grin my wife had after taking the car for a drive.

Here are the before and after pics. Sorry the aspect ratio was not exactly the same.

Your car looks great, thanks for the pics - I have been contemplating the sideskirt upgrade as well. Did you use a dealer for the mod?
Thanks,
rb

Hi Rb, I ordered the parts through Brandywine. They gave me a good price and I also had them do the paint work. Not sure yet if I paid too much for the paint job. But, everything I have gotten from them so far has been first class. Cheers.

What did BWine charge you? Side skirts? Paint Job? I am thinking that is the way to go. I have a local guy that does all the local dealar painting that will do the job "under the table" if I just bring him the skirts. All that is left is to actually buy them.

Thanks for the pics they look great!

Question is, do they affect drag in a good or bad way.. or are they just for esthetics?

My price from B.wine: skirts $700, paint $499 (Ouch!). Freight $40. I plan on calling them Monday to confirm the paint cost charge. It seems excessive. Comments?

I ordered on Monday and had them installed the following Wednesday.

Descent price, but WOW that seems high for the paint. I am not sure since I have to ask my guy what he is going to charge me.

A while back Bwine was going to charge me almost what a new rear center console would have cost (Alum Look) to just paint my grey one Arctic Silver (Alum Look). Needless to say, I just bought the Alum Look console for a couple bucks more and have an extra console. Seems like Bwine may outsource the paint and try to make a bit of profit as the middleman?

that sounds a little high for the paint, but not too much. i got quoted $250 for an aerokit spoiler, and $100 for headlight covers. so $500 for two side skirts doesn't sound way out of line. i think $400 would have been a good price.

looks great! keep the mods coming!

When I saw mim3's original message I was impressed with the finished result, so i've done the same thing and more. Now fitted with GT3 nose, Carrera rear spoiler and the side skirts!
