Default Changing key head

I am preparing to change my original key head to the on in the image. Can anyone offer any insight?
Have you done it before?
Thanks
Brian

The process of moving the key electrics, the key body, and the RFID pill can be found on this site, and any number of other sites. The head you bought is for a two-button key, you do not have a two-button remote; before you start trying to stuff the innards from the old one into the new one, did your seller indicate that the new case is compatible with the 996 guts?

Most of the listings I see for that key head also includes the "instructions" - "Transfer your current key's guts - Transfer your current metal key half, internal transmitter chip (small green pill), and remote control circuit board."

I was successful in changing things over. This key works much better. I just hit the key button and it locks or unlocks. The other button serves no purpose. When I hit the button the 911 illuminated which is cool. I’m pretty happy with it. It’s a nice looking key.

I have another one I am considering selling.
They are much nicer. I could never get the bottoms on the original right. That was likely my fault because I couldn’t get used to which “lump” to press. I get further range with this key also..

Honestly, the original key fob is bad.

Very nice. I'd like to do this one day as both my keys lost the frunk release.

I paid $133.00 from Sunset in March of 2018. I just checked their website and they're up to $198.00. Crazy!
