I pay about $250 a month but I have a discount. It seems like a lot of people are actually overpaying for their insurance because they trust their provider too much and never ask about the potential benefits or more information about their plan or what type of discounts they might get, besides the obvious ones. I mean if you just do a little research you will be able to know that you can get a really good deal. I've found this awesome article about a thing called double discount ( check it here:https://www.cheapautoinsurance.com/a...t-double-check) that helped me get a fairly small monthly payment. I feel like it's going to be beneficial to a lot of people

I'd like to resurect this Thread and compare. I have a perfect driving record, excellent credit, primarily telework with a different car and I'm still worried that I'm paying too much.

$1624/yr to Hagerty for full coverage, with agreed upon value, on both my 996 and 997.

Your best bet if you are worried about overpaying is to go talk to some folks at a local car meet preferably PCA, since they are more likely to have a comparable car. Insurance rates vary greatly from state to state and even city to city. Also, you can just get quotes from all of the major players. It is pretty easy to do online these days.

I live in Norway, but interesting to see insurance being quite compatible. I pay $1500/year for full coverage for my 98 996, 8000 km/5000 miles limit. I pay a bit extra to have the insurance covering catastrophic failure of engine and drivetrain too.

Wow - you can get catastrophic engine failure coverage? Nice. I pay $700/year to Hagerty for my 2000 C2 with an agreed value of $25K. I put 1K miles or less on per year.

Using Porsche Insurance. I pay approx $45 a month for $45k replacement value on my 02 w/ 59k miles. Put on about 2k miles a year. It's a good deal if you are in IL or GA. Don't know the other states that they are in. The replacement value is a key component if you have a number of enhancements. Probably will take replacement value up a bit next year depending on where prices go.

FWIW, keep in the back of your mind that this insurance is for the street only. If i do a track day or weekend, i get the PCA track insurance thru their insurance partner that is available on the ClubRegistration website. Adds to the cost of the track day, but i have seen enough guys have some bad luck on the track and the insurance is worth it. If you do alot of track days a year, you can buy discounted packages.

Yes, available for cars under 90,000 miles. Costs like $200 per year. If that is not a thing in the US, I would guess it is because my domestic market is small? Relative few 996s so relative few IMS and bore scoring problems etc. I don't know, only guessing.

That is incredible !! You are so lucky !! If that were available in USA I would suggest everyone get it...

I get calls all the time from "extended warranty companies" trying to sell me coverage all the time, but when I tell them I want it for 2 1999 996 and 1 2002 986 they tell me not available...lol
