Default Spring adjusting on a convertible 996 top

Does anyone know how to adjust the spring in the middle of the top! The spring keeps the edge of the top from going over the grove or under.

Thanks

Is yours coming out of the groove? I don't think the spring is adjustable, usually what happens is the tab if hooks to the top is torn off or the spring is broken.

Default adjusting the spring.

The spring is still good. If I pull on the spring the top goes back in the grove. Drivers side the top is over the lip and passengers side is pulled in too far. If I pull of push on the spring everything lines up but I can't be on both sides at the same time.

If the spring is too tight, I was told you can stretch the spring (irreversibly) using plastic deformation: by pulling the spring too far past where it should go. If you have a spring that’s not tight enough, the spring needs to be replaced.
