warranty claims by VIN
I bought a 99 996 with some early record gaps between 25K to 45K miles. How can I check for warranty claims using the VIN number. Is a Porsche dealership my only option?

The wanna be pretentiousness here is head shaking.
OP, I owned a MKI 996 aero. Loves that shape and wished that GT3 is available in the US. It would be in my garage. Hope you find what your looking for.

Moved to the 996 forum.
I also removed a few posts that were completely off topic and not at all helpful to the OP. Responses about the looks of a 996 are not what the OP is looking for.

I mean warranty claims. I have most paper copies of last 14 years of service records. The early records are just shop stamps on the maintenance book but have large gaps in the service history. Carfax also notes that service was done and the shop name. I called all the Porsche shops but none of them have the old records. I'm investigating whether the Porsche server has any listing of warranty claims which all go through Porsche. I'm trying to complete the history as much as I can.
