Read post #6. Or search my name for my cooling resolution. The center rad, and low temp thermo was by far the best investment ever. Lower engine temps, higher oil pressure, better fuel econ, better AC cooling, less fan running, etc. I live in TX and I couldn't get it past the 8 on the gauge on the hottest day, in bad traffic, with the AC on full.

These are my temps using the AC hack for temp:

85 deg = highway
90 - 100 deg = stop and go
100 - 115 = track in hot weather

After a track session my hughway temps are 100 for a while. I think this is because the oil is super hot. I get the feeling that the oil is getting a bit to hot when tracking these cars and the water system doesnt have enough capacity to remove it.

That’s what I thought too, but if you pull from ODBII or Durametric, the readings are different.

I would not trust the AC hack. I would use Durametric or an ODBII sensor to pull the data and then confirm back how that correlates to the temps you mentioned above.
