Horn Replacement Suggestions
I can't believe I couldn't find another thread about this. Something tells me I did something wrong.
My car has the lower frequency wimpy horn. 420 Hz I believe.
Please let me know which is a good replacement to make it sound like a proper German Machine.
I know there is an OEM 510 Hz model but I have no clue how that sounds and could not find anything online.
I like the horn on my BMW, high pitched and manly.
Thanks,
Ted

Maybe something like this compact 2-tone (530 hz and 680 hz) air horn ->
Traditional air horns from Fiamm and others with trumpets, pump, and hoses are bulky and not all that reliable. The above Amazon link is a self-contained 2-tone air horn in a very compact package (about 4" square by 3" deep) and rated at 139db. Might be worth a try.

Seems Porsche has a horn problem, our 06 997 had one horn go out, replaced by dealer CPO, and one on my 09 Boxster...didn't know which was not working so I bought both because the front bumper had to come off and I did not know which one was bad....sounded like peep peep embarrassing

I had one of the two go bad, but just replaced both because they were cheap. When both are working, the horn sounds fine, good, and loud.
