I believe it is under the car among a bunch of coolant pipes. From what little I have seen, it's a big PITA as well. I'm just happy I won't need to replace this one for a good long time.

The lower flaps on the plate should also be relieved slightly to allow clearance to the exhaust (or the lower studs replaced with bolts). If I ever get that plate out - it will be modified. Knew that the engine mounts would need to come out to move the plate, so that is partially completed as well.

With the engine supported by the transmission jack, I needed to use a ladder to access the engine mounts.

Just did thermostat and pump as well. I remove cats and engine mounting bracket. Pump was very easy to remove then. Thermostat was still a pain, probably took 20min to get those top bolts out.

I’ll investigate sometime this spring, but I think someone is trying to influence my voting preferences. I did buy the car from a Russian guy. When I picked up the car he was riding a horse without his shirt on...
Could the blue one to force the wing up? I have something similar but a black, think it's stock.

That's the "James Bond" edition with oils slick and smoke screen switches.

Maybe a security set up like fuel pump cut off to prevent theft?

I’ve driven the car while flipping the switches...can’t detect any differences. Car does have an aftermarket radio, amp, and subwoofer. I’m thinking they are somehow wired into the sound system. I rarely turn it on but should be easy enough to trace if it is. Ideally one would shut off the sub, and the other maybe the amp?? I’m not much of an audio geek, so not really motivated to find out.

The left/blue one looks like the manual spoiler switch.
I used to have a switch like the red one in an old minivan that switched on a powered FM transmitter/receiver for external audio. If you don't notice any difference in the car, see if it affects the radio in any way maybe.

Maybe trace the wires back from the switch to see what they are connected to?

I have a set of those 17" C4 wheels that I could let go for cheap if you're interested. they are banged up track wheels but for rally they should be fine and they would be cheap as porsche wheels go.

PM me if you're interested.

Will do, if I decide to go that way.

Installed the o-rings on the tubes and pushed them into their holes (put the one with a bite out of it in #3 - easy to swap out). Installed six plugs and then set about installing the coils. Started with the one I figured would be the hardest to install - #4. Yep - tightening the upper bolt was a real pain. Finished the right (west?) bank. Will finish up the left bank today. Should be able to get the engine running again this weekend. Need to flush the cooling system and drain out the other fluids.

Need to see about de-greasing this engine. It's filthy. Gave up on the brake clean shower idea. Don't want to breathe the fumes. Until I can open the doors on the shop, I don't need additional air pollution.
