So I went to take a look at it.
It was as pristine as you’d expect it to be. I really love that color. It has a stack full of records, the previous owner changed oil 10 times in 13,400 miles. He even kept the original IMS to go with the vehicle.

Talked to the sales manager and he was happy to put the vehicle on the lift and let me take my time with it.
Found a few minor issues that weren’t a deal breaker and instead opened the door to a bit of negotiation.

We settled on $28,250
Very happy new Porsche owner right here.

Buy what you want. Personally a 20 yr old 996 with only 13k miles scares me. These cars that sit will “rot”. Seals dry out, bearings will pit. I think they should be driven regularly. Do a search for “Jake Raby” or “Flat six innovations” on this forum re low mileage cars....

You done good. Sounded like it pushed all your buttons, and now it's YOURS! I was going to target high 20s for value, and I think you'll be happy to have it at that price. Drive it like ya stole it - because you did. Congrats.

WoW! Congrats on the purchase!! Premium price for sure - hopefully you get a premium experience to go along with it. Though I don't see this one sale as an overall trend maker, it does seem like the prices are starting to trend up a bit. The high mileage cars and rollers will be cheap for many years to come, but the really good cars are resisting the low ballers...

That's WAY too much for a car with an unknown history.
With a well kept, and fully documented proof, it's not that bad of a deal.
Good job!

Beautiful car and a great color. Congrats! Of course, we need moar pics though.

I was kind of in the same boat as you back in the spring of 2017. I had been looking for a low mileage car with as few previous owners as possible. I’ve found, the more owners, the more wiring hacks and questionable mods. I also was hoping for a somewhat complete maintenance history.

I ended up finding a 35k mile one owner car with meticulous maintenance and every receipt (and I mean EVERY) since new. RMS, IMS and AOS had been done along with some other spendy items. Did I pay too much? Probably. I’ve never looked back and enjoy the car immensely.

I spent the first year dialing it in for my personal taste. You can read my thread but be warned, it’s kind of long.
