I got it when I got the car but I need more legroom...but its as new.

No, there´s one that is not, and allows more legroom, and is the one that I´m getting! I´m a little tall...

If there is no cross bar, how would you get your harness on?

So, putting the "crossed" tequipment roll bar kills leg room? Bummer !!!! I'm 6'1" and a bit on the longer leg shorter torso physique. Would you say no crossed tequipment roll bar for me then?

actually, the guy who had the car before (who as i've said, is a friend of mine) is about 6' and he said it fit him perfect. When riding around with him well before i bought the car, i was cramped, he was great.

so at 6'1, i think you'd be ok.

i'm also 250 lbs., so i need room in every direction

There are two bars: one is a safety roll bar designed for the coupe only (no harness bar), and the other is a safety bar that has a harness bar and integrated diagonal support crossmember for both coupes and cabs.

Actually, there are three:

- 996.580.980.00 - Safety roll bar for 996 Coupé
- 996.580.981.00 - Safety roll bar with 6-point harness fastening for 996 Coupé
- 996.580.984.00 - Safety roll bar with 6-point harness fastening for 996 Cabriolet

Is it the crossbar that cuts out the legroom? With my DAS Sport bar, it is the lower attachment that blocks readward seat travel. GT3 seats helped this somewhat. (Try that instead of selling the bar!)

Note to Viken: I am not claiming to have the Tequipment bar or any knowledge of it. I am not comparing apples to oranges!
