Default Help needed: which locking mechanism xenon d2s bulb

I have a broken headlight bulb. I opened the headlight unit to found out that the previous owner used some inventive mounting alternatives with a tie wrap to fix the D2S bulb in to the fitting of the lens. I suppose I have a sort of Xenon conversion kit for the standard H7 lamps.

Due to the heat the plastic holdee that was used crumbled down. Also the current bulb is hard wired to the connectors. So I need to use a D2S adapter wire to fit the newer style bulb.
Any idea which locking mechanism I should be looking at in order to properly fit the bulb into the lens shown on the photo below?

No idea. I think it is an other standard.
I suppose the lens is not original Porsche.
Brand is Hella and I can see a part# 154 457 00

According to the 101 Porsche Projects there was a Project (87) for a Porsche post-factory HID/Xenon/Litronics upgrade available for the Halogen Headlights.
Perhaps there was another aftermarket Hella upgrade available?
There was a Project (86) for a cheaper non-Porsche alternative.

ound a part # on the retainer ring: Hella 155 977 00
Unfortunately no hits on google
I took the other headlight out to check the shape and geometry of the other retainer ring. It is intact. But when I remove it to replace the bulb it will crack for sure!

Thanks for chiming in so rapidly. I tracked down that they are also used on Saab. On a forum somebody was looking for the same part. Hella could not find it in their part list

Contact the UK company above.
Maybe they can track down the part for you.

Ok mystery solved. Seems I have a H7 Xenon kit installed. The OEM retainer is 996 631 128 00
http://www.autoatlanta.com/Porsche-B...663112800.html

Seems like I need to order another kit as the D2S socket does not fit the retainer.

Thanks for paving the road to get the answer Sometimes it needs a little help to go a bit further in own research.
Love this forum!
Cheers
