Cobalt blue build numbers??????
Hello all, first post here. Could use your help in sourcing the build numbers for cobalt blue in 2002. Looked at a couple different sources and came up empty handed. Any information you could provide would be helpful! Thank you.

Unfortunately, Porsche doesn’t publish that information.

Thanks Dennis, this is what my thought was based off the very little I been able to track down. Looking for something other than black, silver, and grey (no offense) just wanting something a little more unique.

No offense taken here. I make an effort to buy Porsches that aren’t black, silver, or gray. I’ve owned one Midnight Blue Metallic, one Macadamia Brown Metallic, and one Mahogany Brown Metallic.

Yea those numbers are not published....cobalt's hard to find but they do come up once in a while. My favorite is zenith blue and cobalt blue. They both took over 2 yrs to find...

I'm sure we all have to guess at the answer to this - but - how do y'all suppose sellers in PCA Classifieds get the statistics about their cars that they claim? I swear every 5th ad says "One of 568 built with this color combination!" or something to that effect.
I thought they got the info form Porsche, however, when I reached out and said I'd even pay for data they gave me the same answer - "Very sorry, but we don't release such information."
So... I can only deduce that claims in PCA classifieds are pure BS.
Thoughts?

It would hardly be scientific, but it might be interesting to have a poll on Rennlist listing every 996 color and having RL'ers indicate the color of their own cars. It would be interesting to see in general and might give a rough indication of how common individual colors are.
EDIT: Just created two polls: (couldn't fit all metallic and non-metallic colors in one poll)
Metallic: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...-metallic.html
Non-Metallic: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...-metallic.html
Special Colors: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...al-colors.html

Bummer, I had room for 2 more metallics, but I listed all the standard metallics in the document in post 7. I actually don't see it listed in the "special colors" list in that same document either. I guess I can create a third poll for special colors and add yours to the list.

^^ Exactly ^^ !!! It's amazing what people will believe when they really want to buy something.
