Default Gratuitous Pics Because my Lazy A$$ Polished my Porsche

Getting ready for a track day on Friday. Just replaced the Alternator and RMS. After the wax has cured will suit her up in Speed Lingerie. Should be a good time .

Looks great, but I have 2 questions...
1. Why do all the washing and waxing before tracking ? Doesn't it just get dirty really fast ?
2. Do you really track a convertible ?? I always thought they weren't stiff enough.

Thanks! I do it for two reasons it protects it and makes it much easier to clean. Yes I have tracked this car many times. I believe because it is a Porsche it is much more rigid than your average convertible. I have also modified the suspension to reduce body roll and enhance grip. While it might not be as well suited as a non-Cabrio 911 its pretty quick and a ton of fun. Nothing like the sound with the top down hammering it down the straight at Roebling at 140.

Looks fantastic! I even really like the headlight covers! (Which is rare for me)
i am going to embark on the all day detail tomorrow for Rennsport Reunion.

It it is a proven fact that when your car looks better, it goes faster! Drag coefficient aside, a shiny car is more noticeable in someone’s mirror! 🤷🏼
Also, track the snoz outta that convertible, it’s still a Porsche!

Looks great!

Although, googling "Speed Lingerie" didn't turn up the images I was hoping for.

I like the headlight covers, that is a nice change. Good job of waxing also.

Thanks. My regimen is as follows:
  • Wash -
  • Clay -
  • Polish w/ Megs Ultimate Compound -
  • Polish w/ Megs Mirror Glaze #7 -
  • Layer Griots BOS Wax -
  • Layer 1 (cure for 1 hour and do not remove)
  • Layer 2 (cure over night and do not remove)
  • Layer 3 (next morning cure for 2 hours) -
  • Buff clean using Griots spray wax to aid in removing the BOS wax.
