Default Headlight seals

Just managed to pick up a set of Litronic headlights so I can finally upgrade from the halogens but one of them needs a seal. I poked around a bit and was reading in a couple places someone mentioned they were only available if you bought the headlight new, surely that can't be true? Does anyone have a part # for them or know where I could find one?

Try autoatlanta, a pic would help too. MK1 or MK2?

Doesn't look like a seal is available:

Headlight seals are not available from the factory unfortunately. You have to go through a used parts dealer to get ones in good condition then submerge them in aerospace protectant or any rubber restorer.

Look at LA dismanteler on the internet.

This is unreal to me...gonna try and take out my old halogen light to see if I can reuse the seal...otherwise I may be looking to return this light. Ugh.

Use the ones from your halogen lights. Just restore them with UV protectant like 303 aerospace protectant.

Just used this yesterday, came out pretty good.

If you line if up just the like factory one sits, the first hump on the strip will push up nicely against the fender. I had to play with it a little to get a good fit all the way around. Mine is still off a little but my headlights are a pain to get in and out so I am satisfied for now.
