Default Dry Start after winter storage

I would like to know what fuse to pull in order to delay ignition when turning over a engine, without ignition, after a long winter storage. Also interested in learning how to install a kill switch, again to delay ignition in order to build up oil pressure before starting. Thank you in advance.

Accordingly to Jake you are better off starting it. No real oil gets pumped or sloshed around while just cranking it. His sequence was something like: start and as soon as it catches turn it off, then repeat four or five times, then just start it up. Do not rev it up. Drive gently until full temperature is reached.

I followed Jake's method. Some smoke on initial startup that stopped after that initial start. My guess is that was the condensation burning off, and it's running great.

"Some smoke on initial startup"...Mine has done that every year on first startup. Seems to be common after sitting through the winter. I have heard that is how the rebuilt motors are started the first time, as well.

I'm sure you are correct. This was my first "after Winter" storage start up, as i've only had the car for a year... Now, if the weather would cooperate, I could actually drive it!
