it's hard to understand the car buying public - every mod that you did to your car just makes it better
was not impressed with the M030 at all and now have PSS10's - H & R sways - better wheels and aftermarket exhaust
along with GT3 shifter and a few others
you've gone onto the massive bushing replacement operation

if buyers had drove this car as is VS a completely stock one = instant sale
when I got mine I couldn't wait to start upgrading

Default Ohlins

As I mentioned on the Facebook 40th group, I’m interested in the coil overs.

I’ll hit you up over there

Feels like people are beginning to get wary about modifying some 996's based on perceived future values vs a standard car, probable affects the 40th more than others. its going to be tough to judge the demand for standard vs uprated spec as the market has moved on so much in the last 2 years

have modifications ever been an indicator of increased value?

If I put a black widow body kit on my car would the price go up?

There is modifying and then there is upgrading while keeping things tasteful. I think the stock M030 suspension rode like crap and I love my Ohlins too. You provide 2 sets of spring as an added bonus. A smart buyer would be all about this and save him or her self $3k+ in the end because those stock struts won't last forever. Sorry to see this car go but good luck with the sale!

Here are my 2004 996 AE mods

1. PSS10s and GT3 alignment and ride height
2. 6GT3 Euro seats
3. Fisters of course
4. 996.2 Aero rear wing
5. 6GT3 polished wheels
7. Factory roll bar

All Porsche 2004 period correct mods sans PSS10. But anyone thats driven with them know its a great upgrade for these cars.

I personally wouldn't view bolt on recognized dynamic upgrades (that are 100% reversible) in the same way as irreversible style or personalization modifications. Each to their own

You're correct if the seller adds on the full price they paid for all parts + install to the price of a stock car. You never get all of that back so the buyer does save in the end. Has my car come with Ohlins I would have been a happy camper but I get its not everyone's cup of tea.

****, picture of the whole car. I’d love to see what polished GT3 wheels look like on it.
