I've had three oil analyses performed so far, copper was 3 on the first one, 6 on the second one, and 9 on the third one. I was thinking the engine let loose with those numbers! The last time I did an oil change was 3K miles ago....in the spring before I started driving it....so I did it again. The good news is nothing on the magnetic drain plug, nothing in the Napa filter (I made sure to put on my leather gloves before I cut it open as last time I got 5 stitches getting the filter element out of the housing) and no copper flakes in the oil!

So now to send it off to Blackstone to get the results.....this will be the lowest mileage oil change, let's see if it drops down to 5 or so.....or if it went up.

How many miles on the last 3 oil changes? Have you posted the numbers yet? There is a place here for that.

There might be some for you to compare it to there.

Good luck!

I have posted them here....everything is fine but just a very small trend of increasing copper, so keeping a close eye on it.
