Fair enough, I had never seen it on a newer 911 before, just on the older ones and they looked well enough. I'll need to start looking for some GT3 front wheels too then.

Might work if you only replace one (and preferably in a different color) and use a rattle can to paint your calipers while the wheels are still on the car...

Put both of the GT3 rims on one side of the car, that way depending upon which side you approach from, it feels like you have two different cars. Even better, put half of a GT3 spoiler and lip on that side of the car, and you can have a GT3 for track days and a base carerra for regular street duty. (Don't forget to lower that side of the car to GT3 height though).

Only because finding narrow body gt3 wheels is next to impossible. The only place you can find them is new online, and honestly they aren't priced that ridiculously when you take into account how much a full set would go for compared to a full set of most used turbo twist wheels.

I'm pretty sure that Wheel Dynamics offers a quality, certified aftermarket version of the GT3 Wheels that will fit a narrow body at a reasonable price. I considered them but have not made up my mind yet. I'm leaning toward OEM MY02 five spokes.

I haven't heard of Wheel Dynamics before so I'll definitely go ahead and check them out. Also I'm at the same point with the wheels, I know I need to replace at least one, and they're all quite beat up from use (so why not just do all 4 anyway?).

Take a look at this page:

http://wheeldynamics.com/porsche-cars.html

GT3 replica wheels are about 2/3 of the way down the page ... IMO, not a bad price for a full set.

Thanks for your vote,

We are getting a great 19" GT3 wheel in the next 60-days, however these are by special order These are TUV approved.
