Default $8000 996 Purchase Video

I made a video with my son about my 996 purchase. It's not the best quality but we are learning.

Nice, thorough video and seems like a great purchase. That car looks amazing for having 175,000 miles, like you said in the video.

Agree with your opinion on the Turbo center caps, too.

Thanks for the feedback! My son worships YouTubers so it was a fun project for us.

Great vid!

I looked at a $9999 cab with 142k on the clock when I was shopping, decided to spend a little more coin for a cleaner one with hardtop and lower miles.

I'm sure you'll get some fun out of this!

Nice!! I think that car is well worth the 8k you paid for it, with a little love will look even better and hope you enjoy driving it !! I have a 1999 Coupe that has 166k on it, Polar silver also, love the color !! Mine has held up better as the seat is still ok, no hole in the carpet under the drivers foot, minimal dings paint chips ect, but I would not even consider anything even close to 8k for it, so I think you got a great deal !!

Hmm, well, there's a lot of truth in your statement, Hurdi, but actually it's a pretty low-risk purchase. If the engine grenades, he's out $8,000 minus the value of the carcass (about $5,000), so around $3,000 at risk. So, his ***** are the size of a $3,000 elephant.

Congrats on the car. I saw this on EBay this summer and thought it was interesting since I had just bought a similar car for $8K with 110K miles and Hard Top included. However, the car had a noise out of the transmission that ultimately required a new transmission. While the tranny was out we installed a new IMS and then just flipped it. It was a teal nice car in the end.

Also, your seller seems to always have some low priced 911s and does an awesome job with his videos. He clearly seems to be honest guy. Glad to here about your experience and looks like you ended up with a nice driver. Congrats again to your success story.

Purchase price was actually $8995 minus 1/2 the shipping cost but otherwise that was pretty much the calculation I made. I've already had 4k worth of fun with it.

Thanks for the insights. That sounds like a great deal! I agree about the seller, I would vouch for him in a second. I believe he has a relationship of some sort with LA dealers.
