The bushes , I think were about 600, and a heck of a lot of work . You need a press , torch etc. it's worth paying someone to do it . But it won't be cheap
they don't squeak . Zero .
the sway bars about 650
Set up , corner balance , alighnment 500
I couldn't be happier with the results .
Rides firm but compliant on the road , steering feel is phenomenal
Car handles like a dream

Thanks,
They do look nice But they arent coilovers. Almost 1,700 USD. Is that a good deal for these?

The coilovers , h&r street performance were 1700 , half the price of the ohlins in the video

How big of a difference do coilovers from one manufacturer vary in comfort and performance from a different manufacturer?
Any thoughts?

Well the h&r sp have cores made by bilstein and are very similar to the gt3 coilovers which also use bilstein and h&r components
These are both are similar to the pss9 or tens without the rebound adjustments
On the street with the odd track day a great choice .
If I was building a track car for a lot of different tracks , I'd go with a fully adjustable unit like the v3 or pss10
If I was rich I'd go with ohlins .
I am very happy with the h&r units after just shy of two years , I've never regretted the install . Or found I needed a fully adjustable unit .
Combine coilovers with stiff swaybars and a limited slip diff and you have mind blowing grip

I replaced almost my entire suspension set up last year. I did a lot of research. There is no way in HE e LL you can do this for $1,500 even if you did all the work yourself. Can you replace shock and spring only for $1,500? Yes. But there is a lot more to the suspension. I had to replace the wishbone / control arms on all four corners, the sway bars, the drop links, etc. everything with bushings has to be replaced. Sure you can replace the bushings only, which is a completely reasonable approach but it's all labor (a lot) and you need special tools. So while the bushing kit might only cost $200 or less the labor will add another, who knows, $600 - 900?
Let's start with the basics the core of the suspension: The best bang for the buck will be the ROW M30 or H&R Street Performance coilovers (which is the way I went) The difference in cost is $100 bucks so why not just get the coilovers. Those parts alone will run you $1,700. Plus install, plus alignment.
Sway bars, drop links, control arms. If you work to get the lowest prices possible on parts that aren't crap I can't see spending less than $1,000 and easily a lot more. The problem is you actually need all these parts to do the job right. The bushings on the car are definitely worn out if they are original.
Opinions will vary on this forum (of course) some person will chime in and say they did it all themselves for under $2,000 (yea right) but back here in reality a suspension refresh all-in is gonna run a minimum of $3,500

The row mo30 kit comes with springs shocks and swaybars .
Suncoast has them for 1400
Do all the work yourself , change only the bushes that look bad , with oem
And get an alignment done and you're going to be just over 2k
Can't see doing it for less . And that's if you are very competent
For Americans near the Canadian border , buy your parts in the USA and get the work done in Canada and you'll save 25% on Labour from the exchange rate

I had the BC coil overs on my previous car. I thought they were great until i got a ride in the same car with an ohlins setup. Holy ****, the difference was outstanding. ohlins felt more comfy than OE. made my ride feel like it was on pogo sticks.
same with the KW v3. friend of mine had them in his BMW and I was blown away how smooth the car was. Certainly didn't feel like I was in a car equipped with coil overs as a suspension.

Personally I'm leaning towards waiting a year and springing (ha!) for the Ohlins. My father said good things come to those who procrastinate

Checking out tire rack , a koni shock and eibach springs kit and an eibach sway bar kit is your cheapest option for a complete set up

Every time I look at the first post in this thread, I think "Vote for Pedro!"
One nit: Watching the video and listening to the narration, it sure sounds like the narrator's complaint about the "understeer that was fitted at the factory" is that the back end doesn't kick out under acceleration like "its tail-happy predecessors." Ever wild air-cooled 911 ride I've been on involved lift-off oversteer; accelerating out of a corner is what every 911 driver does who does NOT want to oversteer.
I need to spend a weekend doing poly bushings on both the 996 and the Corvette. The 996's aren't that old, but the poor 'Vette is louder from the rattles than the exhaust right now.

You get what you pay for.
There's no such thing as a free lunch.
Life's a compromise.
Good luck with the hunt. I'm extremely pleased with H&R blue lowering and Bilstein B8s, but this is for road use - for track there are big advantages with coilovers.
