Thank you. Here is my car. I'm not sure why they didn't think it would fit?

Sure looks like MK1. Try ordering it from ECS Tuning. If for some reason it does not fit, they are really good on returns. BTW, the lip comes with the fasteners you need to mount the lip to the bumper.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but have any of you noticed the JUMP in price for the splitter? I can't remember exactly what I paid for it years ago, but I do remember it was around 100-150 bucks. I just started looking to buy another one and wow.

1999-2001 Porsche 911 Spoiler 996-505-986-00 | Sunset Porsche Parts

Over 400 bucks for a tiny piece of plastic.

996-505-986-02 G2X is cheaper at around $300.

I should have bought two when they were cheaper. Mine is has a piece broken off of it after rubbing it on a steep driveway.

Bought one for $145 two years ago but then saw what was happening to the price. Kept my old one on for now.

Demon Speed is now making a repro cup splitter for the mk2 gt3 bumper. I have fitted a factory cup splitter to my mk1 gt3 aero bumper so the DS one should work. I did have to drill new holes and flex it a little but it works and looks good.

This came up in a thread from last July. I mentioned that I paid $118.00 for it in 2017 and when I checked at the time of the July thread, Sunset had it for $380.00. So just in the last five months it has gone up another $30.00.

Are you in CT? What track is that? Cool Aero. I like the red on red look.

Thank you both. I emailed Demon Speed. Appreciate the feedback. I'm not against spending money on the car, but spending that much on such a small piece of plastic, that was expensive at 150 bucks for what it is IMO, is just stupid.

That was Pocano. De=Delaware Jeeper

I think there r a lot if stupid $150 pieces on our cars and the splitter is not one of them. The functionality and effectivness at speed is worth every penny, Imho.

Ah, nice. I saw the CT plate. I also have a CJ, as you probably noticed.

I agree with you. My speed at Lime Rock really isn't that high to be honest. Prob 115-120 ish at the very end of the front straight. I really don't see myself going anywhere else. I did it more because I felt it completed the look of the front bumper. I wonder what the actual aero difference the little splitter on my car even does. It's certainly not very aggressive, as yours is.

I’m kinda just guessing based on where I was in 4th. I’m probably slower, but I never once looked at the speedo, so whatever. I’m prob only going to get in a few DE events a year, so Lime Rock works well based on location. Fun time though.

Hoping to hear back on the splitter. I will share what they say. Mine isn’t too bad for now. Thanks.

Ah yes, the somewhat famous Lime Rock 996 day. We have to do that again this year!

So after searching all over for a reasonable replacement for my 996.1 OEM GT3 splitter, 996-505-986-00, I gave up. I found a reproduction of it in the UK, but they were miserable to deal with. After 15 plus emails, I decided to go another route.

Here is the one in the UK:
https://clubautosport.co.uk/product/...3-lip-spoiler/

I ended up going with the demon speed reproduction of the factory Motorsports splitter. Which is a reproduction of factory part number 996-505-986-91. I’m hoping this works well and will post a picture when installed.

https://www.demonspeedmotorsports.co...996Spoiler.htm

I believe this is what De Jeeper is running. It’s also $165 vs nearly $500.
