Default on my third 993tt......

....but never noticed the warning chime going only when the passenger door was open. Close it stops - open it chimes? Driver side...no chime?

Any ideas...and thanks.

Do the courtesy lights come on? Door switch behind the black rubber boot??

You can try cleaning the switch with electrical contact cleaner. Gently remove the rubber boot (if torn, replace with new) and spritz with the cleaner & straw. I fixed my passanger side this way years ago, more common on that side due to the heat generation from the oil lines on that side.

Thanks guys...the boot seems to be the issue. The problem is intermittent when i quickly plunge the switch...so means I have to take it apart this weekend, clean and replace. Appreciate your insight.
